Easter Egg Hunts

There are a whole host of Easter Trails and Hunts on offer in Bournemouth and surrounding area. Even the most mature of us love the guilt -free chocolate at Easter and still enjoy a good old Egg Hunt, whether you are accompanied by kids or not!

5 of the best Hunts and other Fun Easter Activities

Hengistbury Head is a beautiful seafront walk eastwards from the Lodges. Starting at the Visitor Centre, the trail costs just £3 and there’s a chance to win a lovely Easter prize! Other activities include, wildlife themed craft workshops with expert Hengistbury Head team members.

Kingfisher Barn – a short drive out to the North West of Bournemouth to the Stour Valley Nature Reserve. Get back to nature with this trail along the River Stour. For just £2 you can grab your trail leaflet, head out, solve the clues and win a prize! Other activities include Egg rolling and Easter Bonnet Making.

Farmer Palmer’s Farm Park – located to the west of Poole . Join the Easter Bunny and other furry friends on the hunt for an Easter Eggstravaganza!

Monkey World Ape Rescue Centre – also sited in West Dorset , near Wareham. Those cheeky monkeys have hidden eggs around the park, can you find them? The wildly popular primate park is giving away a delicious Easter Egg to the first 100 children who visit Monkey World over the Easter weekend, while The Activity Centre have arts and craft sessions and stalls about their charity EAST (Endangered Asian Species Trust)

Kingston Lacy – A stunning National Trust Villa situated near the picturesque village of Wimborne Minster. Become a nature detective, follow the clues and finish your adventure with a delicious, chocolatey treat. Only £2.50.

Easter Fun For All..

Away from the fun-filled and frenetic Easter egg hunts , you could visit the Russel-Cotes Art Gallery & Museum with its stunning clifftop views and major Easter exhibit : “A Question Of Guilt , A Crime Writer’s Collection ,” or pop in to see what crafts and events are taking place during the Easter holidays. You can take the Land Train from right outside your Lodge.

For a fresh Spring Stroll – enjoy the many walks along the sandy beaches starting directly in front of your Bournemouth Beach Lodge or you can go slightly further afield and head to the New Forest to see if you can spot the famous wild ponies, cattle and deer.

For the grown up visitors this Easter Bournemouth’s 9th Annual Beer Festival is a must, with a huge range of beer, wine and cider there’s something for everyone to try at this popular event happening at the local Bournemouth International Centre. (BIC)

For the more adventurous, there is Rock Reef where you can brave the heights of our indoor rock climbing centre or even the zoom down the zip wire from the end of Bournemouth Pier to the safety of the soft sandy beach.

Bournemouth is home to hundreds of restaurants, bars and cafes , many of which are located in the new BH2 Leisure Centre , overlooking the stunning Grade II Listed gardens and also home to a multi -screen Odeon Cinema complex.
And finally – don’t forget about the Surf, Sea and Sun! Grab a surf board and put on a wetsuit, it’s time for a refreshing dip in the sea this Easter.
